Yokohama Tire is beginning to hire for their new facility in West Point, MS and you or someone you know may have an opportunity to start from the ground up.  The $300 million investment from the corporation and $70 million in state general obligation bonds will become a one-million square foot tire-making facility October 2015. In another eight years, with another $900 million investment by Yokohama, the facility will have expanded to 115 acres under one roof.

The world’s most technologically advanced tire manufacturing facility is being built in West Point, Mississippi. Yokohama Tire Manufacturing Mississippi (YTMM) seeks to fill the following positions:

*PLANT PLANNING MANAGER – Plans, directs, and controls the plant production system. B.S. degree in Business Administration or related business field with 8-­‐10 years in a management role in manufacturing or suitable combination of education and experience required.

*PLANT ENGINEER ELECTRICAL – Provides engineering support for electrical control systems of equipment and facilities. B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and 5-­‐8 years of professional experience required.

*PLANT ENGINEER MECHANICAL – Designs, coordinates, and implements mechanical systems and applies mechanical engineering principles to ensure highest quality products. B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering and 3-­‐5 years experience in mechanical design preferred.

*ENVIRONMENTAL, HEALTH, and SAFETY MANAGER – Provides strategic leadership and direction to YTMM’s environmental, health, and safety programs. B.S. in Environmental Engineering or related field and 5-­‐7 years experience in environmental, health, and safety management preferred.

*RAW MATERIALS BUYER – Supports plant production by purchasing raw materials and other products of appropriate quality and quantity. Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing or related business field and working knowledge of purchasing systems, knowledge of tire purchasing or commodity business sought. Experience with SAP preferred.

*SENIOR ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN – Leads the effort to layout, build, test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify developmental and production electronic components, parts, equipment, and systems. Associates degree in technology and 8-­‐10 years related experience in manufacturing sought. Good working knowledge of control circuits, programmable controllers, variable speed drives (AC/DC) and National Electrical Code required.

*FACILITIES MANAGEMENT ENGINEER –Provides maintenance and management of facilities. B.S. degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering or related field with 8-­‐10 years experience.
