Volunteer Starkville!

Maya Angelou“I’ve learned that you shouldn’t go through life with a catcher’s mitt on both hands; you need to be able to throw something back.”

This past week we lost a great mind and service advocate, Dr. Maya Angelou. She lived her life as a teacher, activist, artist, and human being. She was known as a warrior for equality, tolerance, and peace. Dr. Angelou’s words have provided inspiration to countless individuals, including many of our nation’s leaders. Her words and actions continue to stir our souls, energize our bodies, liberate our minds, and heal our hearts.

One of Dr. Angelou’s famous quotes is “Nothing will work unless you do.” Below is a listing of various ways you can “work” serving our community. Find an opportunity and make a difference! For more  information, please visitwww.volunteerstarkville.org or contact Volunteer Starkville at 662.268.2865 orJamey@volunteerstarkville.org.
